    • ​1st read--underline the line that sticks out to you/sketch next to the poem/first impressions. 
    • 2nd-3rd read--What do you question? What do you notice? What interesting/unusual? 
    • 4th read--What's the tone?  Does it shift? 
    • 5th read--what's this poem mean to you?

  • Presentations begin on Wednesday, May 29th.

1. Literature Circle

  • Read/Finish book
  • Read the article your group selected to connect to your book.  Add 1-2 questions/comments to your Google doc about the connections between the article/book. Due Wednesday end of day. 
  • Add 1-2 songs to the group score or playlist with an explanation for why you added them.

    • Does my presentation to the class have to be the same as what I write in my cover letter? No, but it can be. 
    • Does my cover letter have a length requirement?  Yes--about 1000 words.  If you are writing a series of poems (a genre that might be shorter but more challenging) see me. 
    • Any other questions?
