​2. Spotlight Sentence

"The moon is a stone and the sky is full of deadly hardware, but oh God, how beautiful anyway." --pg. 97

Write for 3 minutes on your first impressions, things you notice or find interesting. 
  • How would this sentence be different in a different order?  
  • Consider the connotations of the words. 

3. Sociograms--
  • In groups, create visuals to represent the relationships among the characters in The Handmaid's Tale.
    • We will have a class discussion of the first 100 pages tomorrow!
