Goals: 
  • I can analyze the nuances of word/phrase meanings used in different contexts.
  • Student flexibly uses strategies to derive meaning from a variety of print/non-print texts. Student evaluates the validity, reliability, and/or relevance of publications and authors as well as their evidence and reasoning.  

Announcements:
  • Read your choice book to your reading goal by next Monday. ​
  • Homework:  Make a video book talk.  Due to Google Classroom on Friday. 
  • Wednesday:  Revised paper with sources turned into Google Classroom before class. 
  • Wednesday:  Meet with writing groups and writing center tutors 
  • Friday:  Revised essay due 
  • Join the Skyline bookclub!  We will be reading The Apocalypse of Elena Mendoza by Shaun David Hutchinson.  The meeting is Tuesday, November 12th during both lunches in the main office conference room.
