  • I can "Use precise words and phrases, telling details, and sensory language to convey a vivid picture of the experiences, events, setting, and/or characters"

  • What is the purpose of this poem?  How do you know?  What specific writing choices support that purpose? 

4. Writer's Workshop
  • Take one of your pieces from your notebook to expand and revise, or draft a new piece
    • ​Use imagery 
    • Include Show/Not Tell 
    • Think about your PURPOSE as a writer (the so what)--what idea or feeling do you want to convey to your reader? 
    • Submit it on your Blog.
