    • 150-200 words

  • Literary Analysis excerpt from Magonia by  Maria Dahvana Headley
  • What is your author doing with sentences?  Do you see any run-ons or intentional fragments?  For what purpose? 

​2. The debate over homework: Overview 
  • After reading the source from yesterday, what is your initial claim about the issue? In the writing section of your Writer's Notebook, Include at least one piece of evidence from the text to support your initial claim.

3. Jigsaw with homework articles.  
  • Read and annotate your article.  Look especially for evidence.
