  • I can write THAMO (conjunctive adverb) sentences. 
  • I can flexibly uses strategies to derive meaning from a variety of print/non-print texts. Student evaluates the validity, reliability, and/or relevance of publications and authors as well as their evidence and reasoning.

Announcements:   
  • Rough Drafts of Stunt Papers due on Thursday--meet with Writing Groups
  • Mastery Grammar Test:  Friday, Feb. 28th 
  • Absolute last day to turn in late/missing work:  Friday, Feb. 28th 
  • Homework this Week:  Blog #6
    • ​Add sources to your blog from last week OR 
    • Do another informational/expository blog that uses at least one outside source.

3. Lesson:  Formal or informal tone 
  • Recognizing informal vs. formal tone
  • Why might you choose one or the other? 
  • Writer's Notebook #17:  Partners:  you should know--explain to your audience a key idea or person that they should know that you think many don't know.   
    • ​Gather 2-3 pieces of data on this fact or person. 
    • One partner will write up the information in a formal tone. The other will write in an informal tone.  

4. Workshop
  • Finish stunt notes and submit on Google Classroom. 
  • Begin drafting your Stunt Paper
